The Green Roof Organisation (GRO) is a not for profit body that supports and champions the UK’s green, blue and bio solar roofing industries. We are passionate about the ability of these technologies to help build a cleaner, greener and better planet for us all.
GRO wants to encourage more architects, planners, developers and householders to make more of green and blue roofing to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions, improve air and water quality and support biodiversity net gain.
Our board and committees consist of unpaid volunteers who are all experts in their field and give their time freely to raise awareness of green roof technologies and improve standards within the industry.
We’re proud to have been recognised by the House Of Commons Environmental Committee and through the hard work of our members we aim to further influence government policy for the built environment. The more members and engagement that GRO has, the more we’ll be able to encourage the adoption of high quality blue, green and biosolar roofing projects.
