GRO members Wildflower Turf are offering green roof training courses at their HQ in Hampshire. These courses promise to be an entertaining and educational day out. Particularly for anyone involved with designing, specifying, installing or maintaining biodiverse living roofs.

The day begins with a look at the history and benefits of living roofs. Then discusses market demand and the potential for expansion in this industry. 

With the scene set, and brains engaged, the training continues with detailed design considerations. As well as an in-depth look at green roof irrigation.

A practical session follows. You will be able to try your hand at creating a biodiverse roof using Wildflower Turf’s products and one of their purpose built green roof ‘rigs’.

Finally, the course offers a chance to discuss some trouble shooting scenarios as a means of helping you avoid mistakes in your own work.

The group learns about the basics of green roof design

Throughout the day, everybody will be well fed and watered. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day and you’ll be offered a hearty buffet lunch to keep those brain cells energised.

At the end of the course delegates will be issued with a digital GRO certificate of attendance and also qualify for GRO’s “Introduction To Green Roofs” certification.
